The auditorium is equipped with the most sophisticated equipment necessary for the training and turn-out of professional specialists for companies operating BELAZ mining equipment.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Piotr Parkhomchik, Deputy Minister of Industry and Science of the Sverdlovsk Region Mr. Igor Zelenkin, Principal of the Ural State Mining University Mr. Alexei Dushin, and top managers of BELAZ company, JSC “Trading House BELAZ” and the official dealer in the region —“BelTransLogistic” company.

The new classroom is equipped with a 75-inch touch-panel, as well as a universal training stand for studying the traction electric drive of BELAZ mining dump trucks. Students will gain knowledge about the principles of operation of electric motors and alternators, study various traction electric drive control schemes, learn how to adjust and diagnose electrical systems of mining equipment.

In addition, the educational process in the classroom will be supplemented with virtual reality technologies. The combination of physical stands and VR will allow students to carry out visual work and systematize the acquired knowledge and skills at different stages of training, to model and learn to avoid emergency situations, which are often either dangerous or too expensive to reproduce in real life conditions.

The opening of such a classroom is a serious modernization of the educational process for the university: students will learn practical skills for the management and maintenance of BELAZ equipment as part of the educational process. For BELAZ, this is an excellent opportunity to participate in the training of future promising specialists in the mining industry and thereby increase the efficiency of operation of the produced mining equipment.
