12 workers of mining and processing plant, which leads the development of Stoylenskoye deposit of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (Russian Federation) without interruption the production increased their knowledge and skills in operation and maintenance of the new vehicles that joined the plant’s fleet – 55 ton dump trucks BELAZ-7555B and 130- ton dump truck BELAZ-7513D.

The training of operators were organized in the framework of joint projects with OJSC “BELAZ” and including consulting services to partner companies. The advanced training program includes the theoretical part and practice-orientated lessons for operation the minng dump trucks.

During the theoretical part of training, the operators that already had experience of operation on BELAZ dump trucks has expanded their knowledge on the basics of safety in operation and maintenance of dump trucks, thoroughly studied the possible causes of malfunctions and methods of their self-repair, as well as learned about the peculiarities of driving and daily maintenance of the machines.

The final stage of the training course was passing a final test on theory and actions in different emergency situations, that operator may encounter during a shift. This valuable experience will help the plant’s specialists improve the quality of their operation and consequently the efficiency of BELAZ operation at the iron ore deposit.

Among the equipment that recently started working at the plant are three BELAZ-7555B dump trucks with a payload capacity of 55 tons and two 130-ton BELAZ-7513D trucks. The trucks are equipped with safety devices - video monitoring systems, remote-controlled fire extinguishing systems, high voltage line proximity alarms, as well as modern diagnostic tools. The cabin of the BELAZ trucks is designed to meet ergonomic requirements. It is provided with noise, heat and vibration protection, equipped with a monitor displaying all necessary information on the operation of the dump truck systems.
