24 May in the capital of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, Belarusian delegation had a meeting with the Head of Republic of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, during this meeting the agreement about cooperation was concluded.
During the attendance at the 2nd international meeting of stone processing “Karelforum-2023” head of the BELAZ Sergey Nikiforovich had meetings with representatives of mining enterprises of the region.
- Potential between cooperation between BELAZ and business-community of Karelia is huge. Together with our consumers the company is ready to lead the development of new import-substituted equipment, which were never used by the manufacturers, to work on its implementation, pilot operation and putting it into series production. During the round table of “Karelforum-2023” we already have found partners, that are ready to participate in that type of projects” – said Sergey Nikiforovich
Special attention of VIP-guests, mass media and visitors of the Belarusian equipment exhibition was given to the 30-tons mining dump truck BELAZ-7540B with the Russian engine with power of 360 hp. Roman Golovchenko and Artur Parfenchikov have taken the photo on the deck of the dump truck with pleasure. General Director of BELAZ said to the Prime Minister that small and maneuverable dump trucks of BELAZ-7540 series are popular in stone processing industry of Karelia, and even the exhibition sample will be sent to operate in Karelia quarry right after the exhibition.
30-tons BELAZ dump trucks are highly reliable and fully adapted to the Russian climate. In Karelia, where the natural stone - granite, quartzite, marble and shungite, is mined, today operates around 130 30-tons BELAZ dump trucks. In general, over 150 BELAZ mining dump trucks with payload capacity fr om 30 to 240 tons and special equipment operate in this region. The mining volume of Karelia stone rises, and that means that BELAZ vehicles have a lot of work here.
- BELAZ mining equipment are in a great demand here: 17 dump trucks with payload capacity of 220 tons will be delivered to the Karelia this year. But the demand is even bigger. Next day, 25 May, in Murmansk Belarusian delegation had a meeting with governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis and representatives of business groups, as the result of the meeting agreements on joint work between the Murmansk region and the Republic of Belarus to develop the infrastructure for servicing quarry equipment in the Kola Peninsula were reached. The government of the Murmansk region and BELAZ have signed relevant agreement.
- - The agreement includes the construction of a BELAZ branded regional repair and service center in the Murmansk region, the creation of high-capacity jobs in Apatity, as well as the development of modern service area for quarry equipment in the region," summarized the signing ceremony Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis.
- There is a BELAZ service center in Murmansk right now, but it’s current, guaranteed. The agreement will help to increase the depth of repair. For instance, if u need the major repair of the units and components, - added Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.

Murmansk region is one of the long-standing and stable consumer of the BELAZ equipment. In the quarries of the mining enterprises of this region over 160 BELAZ dump trucks with payload capacity from 30-240 tons and special equipment operate.
