The current intellectual monitoring system was supplemented with two new modules which allow detailed processing of reclamation acts and analyzing causes for parts and units malfunctioning.

In December 2023 BELAZ specialists worked out two new modules of IMS system – “Matrix of system breakdowns” and “Top malfunctions” which allow detailed processing of reclamation acts received from consumers. The modules help to analyze the frequency of parts and units breakdowns and the downtime depending on the malfunction nature, the region and conditions of operation.

While accumulating experience the IMS system may accurately predict the malfunction of any unit depending on the operation conditions. These data may also help BELAZ specialists to consider all the peculiarities while designing new machinery types and equipping mining trucks on customer order.

IMS is a BELAZ in-house development. It is installed onto the trucks (in basic configuration) yet on the assembly line and it may read and analyze information off more than 50 sensors. IMS allows controlling the trucks technical condition, their overall performance as well as detecting any malfunctions, which in general improves the efficiency of mining enterprises at the account of operational costs lowering. Today dump trucks equipped with the intellectual monitoring system work in Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, India, Mongolia and other countries. Since October 2023 all the machinery has been equipped with units of telemetric data transmission.
