A strategic cooperation agreement was signed on May 3 by the General Director of OJSC BELAZ - the management company of the BELAZ-HOLDING holding, Sergey Lesin, and the General Director of «Granit», Eduard Gavrilkovich.

Industrial testing of prototypes of innovative BELAZ quarry equipment under real operating conditions will be carried out at the operating granite quarry "Mikashevichi" and at the new deposit of building stone "Sitnitskoye", located in the Brest region of the Republic of Belarus.

The need to create its own industrial site for BELAZ is caused by the increasing intensity of development and testing of new models of mining dump trucks and special equipment. The testing site in the Brest region will allow our company to test advanced technical solutions and technologies in real conditions of open-pit mining.

In particular, the test site will be able to test mining dump trucks using alternative fuels - liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, battery and hybrid equipment, as well as graders, loading equipment and machines for underground work.

In Sitnitsa, it is planned to create special sections of roads with ascents, descents, turns, artificial bumps, as well as other necessary infrastructure for testing, maintenance, repair, charging and refueling of equipment. Here it is also planned to demonstrate to potential consumers new products produced by BELAZ directly in action - transporting sand covering granite deposits to an overburden dump.

It should be noted that a test site with a mobile control center, network and electrical infrastructure is already operating at the Sitnitskoye field. Here, the BELAZ robotic industrial complex is being tested for unmanned mining - two 90-ton BELAZ-7558R unmanned dump trucks, working in tandem with a remote-controlled BELAZ-7825D front-end loader.
