Work on dust suppression in mines, especially in coal mines, is relevant all year long. Coal miners of Siberia entrust this important mission to time-tested special equipment - watering machines of the BELAZ-7647 series.

One of these reliable and effective dust fighters is BELAZ-76470 with a volumetric tank of 32 cubic meters of water, takes up a round-the-clock shift to increase safety and improve the environment in the open-pit mining of coal reserves at the Beyskoye deposit in the Republic of Khakassia.

“All year round, and even in winter, due to the intense shuttle traffic of mining dump trucks, clouds of dust rise into the air, so the technological roads and industrial sites of the mine must be constantly watered,” they say at the coal enterprise.

The problem of dust in the air on the internal routes of coal mining is really serious, because visibility and breathing are difficult, the dust harms equipment and machines, forming an explosive and fire hazardous environment. This is where BELAZ special equipment for servicing mining and transport operations comes to the rescue of miners.

In Khakassia, the BELAZ-76470 vehicle will have to water the mine roads 24/7 at least 3-4 times per shift, along which mining dump trucks loaded with rock pass more than 850 times every day. The length of the water jet from the monitor shaft of the “sprinkler” reaches 60 meters, and the fan irrigation system covers more than 24 meters at a time - the entire width of the roadway of the mine’s transport arteries.

In an emergency, this special equipment can also effectively work as a fire truck to localize and eliminate possible fires in the enterprise.

It should be noted that today BELAZ produces two types of watering machines - with tank volumes of 32 and 119 cubic meters of water. This year, in the special equipment segment, these dust fighters were in the greatest demand among consumers: 29 units of such vehicles were delivered to different regions of Russia.
