The XII St.Petersburg International Gas Forum, one of the most prestigious business events in the gas industry, was opened today in the northern capital of Russia. Among its main exhibits is a 90-ton BELAZ-7558H dump truck running on liquefied natural gas.

The dump truck immediately attracted the closest attention not only for its impressive dimensions, but also for its innovative technical solutions. The vehicle is equipped with gas engine, which is up to 35% more cost-efficient and many times more environmentally friendly than its diesel counterpart. In addition, the new gas-powered BELAZ truck is reliable, productive and meets all safety requirements. After the Forum it will replenish the batch of ten similar gas-powered vehicles that have already been contracted by one of the Kuzbass coal companies. It should be noted that particularly in the Kuzbass in the real open-pit mining conditions, the first sample of BELAZ-7558H dump truck was successfully operated.

Our company today is actively developing a model range of gas-powered mining vehicles with payload capacity from 30 to 136 MT, creating the promising areas of partnership in the field of natural gas application and import substitution with PJSC “Gazprom”, which has extensive experience in the gas-filling infrastructure.

This year the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum brought together more than 17 thousand participants from 52 countries, such as the top managers of the largest companies, the representatives of the government authorities, the experts, the heads of universities and research institutes. Belarus is represented by more than 20 leading industrial enterprises offering their pilot projects for the Russian oil and gas industry. Tomorrow, on the 1st of November, Mr. Siarhei Nikifarovich, General Director of OJSC “BELAZ” will be the key speaker at the strategic session of the Forum in St. Petersburg.
