On 14-18 August, shop heads, representatives of services closely related to production, and top managers of the company visited mining and processing plants in Kursk and Belgorod regions, where BELAZ vehicles are widely used in iron ore mining.

- We try to make such annual working visits to our customers to the places where our dump trucks operate, - said Yury Morozov, Deputy General Director for Production Organisation. - It is very important to hear feedback from operators about the performance of our equipment directly in the quarries, to see everything with their own eyes and get feedback in a more accessible form, not by correspondence, but in live dialogue.

On the meetings with Russian mining and processing plant representatives topics like effective exploitation of mining dump trucks on enterprises, upgrading of components, actual questions of prompt maintain service of equipment, interaction of consumers with the distribution network, prospective areas of co-operation and expansion of supplies of BELAZ dump trucks were discussed.

As Yuri Morozov said, consumers of our equipment on the mines of Kursk and Belgorod region are very interested in delivering dump trucks with enlightened platforms, due to which they could reduce transport costs and increase the volume of rock mass exported from the open pit.

Based on the results of our specialists' trip to Russia, a report is being prepared, which will reflect all the wishes and requests of BELAZ machinery customers in these regions. In the course of further work they will be put into practice.

- In the future, we plan to take the same team of production workers to the coal mines of one of our key partners in Kuzbass. Moreover, we would like to visit them in winter so that the heads of the plant's divisions could see how difficult it is for Kuzbass miners to operate and maintain open-pit equipment under severe sub-zero temperatures," BELAZ Deputy General Director emphasised.

We would like to add that a special place in the programme of the visit to Russian regions was given to visiting memorial sites of military valour shown by soldiers during the Great Patriotic War. Thus, in the Kursk region, BELAZ employees paid tribute to the courage and heroism of Soviet soldiers at the Poklonnaya Vysota 269 memorial complex. On 23 August, the landmark victory at the Kursk Bulge in the largest tank battle in history is exactly 80 years old.
