A significant production milestone of 250 million tons of mined coal was achieved at JSC “Tugnuisky Razrez”. It is symbolic that the anniversary ton of rock was transported from the mine by one of the main representatives of the driving force – a BELAZ mining dump truck with a carrying capacity of 130 tonnes.

In honor of a quarter of a billion tons of Tugnui coal mined over the entire 35-year history of the enterprise, a festive ceremony of loading an anniversary ton into BELAZ-7513D was held at the Nikolskoye deposit, which brought together the managers and leading specialists of the mine. The two miners held together the impressively sized coal block with a memorable inscription.

Alexander Melentyev, the operator of a heavy-duty dump truck, who had an honorable right to transport the 250 millionth ton, has been working at the open-pit mine for 5 years. He came to Buryatia from the Trans-Baikal Territory, stayed, and is now setting records together with his faithful and reliable 130-tonne assistant - the BELAZ dump truck.

Currently, the high-performance BELAZ dump trucks with a particularly ultra-heavy capacity of 130, 220 and 240 tonnes transport the huge volumes of overburden rock and coal in the Tugnuisky open-pit mine. The high performance characteristics of these modern mining dump trucks are best suited to the conditions of the Far Eastern climate and meet all the requirements of one of the largest coal mining enterprises in Russia.
