Eight units of BELAZ-7513T mining dump trucks of the latest model, capable of carrying up to 140 tons of rock mass per trip, have joined the fleet of one of the largest gold deposits in the world, Sukhoi Log in Eastern Siberia.
The gold miners note that these are the first BELAZ dump trucks at the mine with an electromechanical transmission, which, together with a highly efficient 1168 kW (1588 h.p.) diesel engine, provides powerful traction for multi-ton vehicles on pit climbs.
The new 140-ton BELAZ-7513T dump trucks are adapted by the manufacturer to the extreme Siberian climate and high-performance operation even at temperatures close to minus 50 °C.
– The launch of new equipment allows us to increase the volume of rock mass transportation and increase the efficiency of the transport process. For a project of such a scale as Sukhoi Log, the reliability of equipment and its readiness to work in harsh conditions are important – and the new dump trucks fully meet these requirements," Sergey Tinnikov, Head of heavy–duty vehicles workshop of the Polyus - Sukhoi Log, emphasized the importance of updating the technical fleet».
Reliable, maneuverable and high-performance BELAZ dump trucks are designed to become a key link in the transportation system of gold-bearing ore at one of the largest gold deposits in the world. During a working shift, one such dump truck is capable of handling cargo up to 1,100 ton-kilometers.
