220-tons BELAZ mining dump truck with engine from Kolomna plant
Right now 220-tons BELAZ mining dump truck with the engine from the Kolomna plant is being assembled in the experimental shop.
From March, the dump truck will be tested on the territory of the factory, after which it will be tested in a real quarry.
The Kolomna plant has specially developed for BELAZ a new engine with a power of 1700 kWt, which is designed for heavy-duty mining dump trucks. In its main characteristics, it corresponds to the best analogues in the world - it has a long service life of work and does not require high maintenance and repair costs.
According to preliminary agreements, the Kolomna Plant will supply another 20 engines to BELAZ this year.
BELAZ constantly implements innovative technologies in its products and actively develops cooperation with machinery plants in the Russian Federation. BELAZ previously worked with Kolomna Plant. From 1982 to 2006, the Kolomna Plant supplied 390 engines for mining dump trucks with payload capacity of 180 and 220 tons.
