The international forum of the mining industry «Egypt Mining Forum 2024» with the participation of representatives of our company was held on July 16-17 in the capital of Egypt, Cairo.

There is an official representative of BELAZ in the country, which sells quarry equipment and spare parts for it, and provides its full service. In 2021, two 45-ton mining dump trucks were delivered to one of Egypt's gold mines. Machines in tropical configuration are fully adapted to local conditions and have proven themselves to be excellent during this time. As a result, the consumer expressed his intention to increase the load-carrying capacity of the equipment and increase the number of BELAZ dump trucks in his mines.

As part of the large-scale forum in Cairo, an exhibition and specialized discussion sessions were also held. In total, 4 thousand representatives of more than 100 companies from 34 countries took part in the events.

During the work of BELAZ's stand, contacts were established with new potential consumers from the North African region, for whom specific business proposals for the supply of quarry equipment will be prepared.

In general, Africa is one of the promising export destinations for BELAZ products. Mining is actively developing on the continent today. Thus, confirmed gold reserves in Egypt currently amount to about 7.3 million ounces. By 2030, the country intends to increase gold production to 800 thousand ounces per year, and other minerals to 30 million tons.

Next week BELAZ will be presented in the south of the African continent as part of the Made in Belarus national exhibition in the Republic of Angola. In the capital of the country, Luanda, from July 23 to 28, a major international multi-industry exhibition FILDA will be held, during which a number of business meetings and negotiations with representatives of business circles in Angola and other countries in the southern African region are planned.
