On July 15, 2015, our enterprise hospitably welcomed its first industrial tourists - the project “BELAZ – a brand of Belarus” was officially launched at BELAZ.

Since then, the project to promote industrial tourism at the plant has been gaining momentum every year, becoming larger and more popular among connoisseurs of industrial travel, both in our country and abroad.

Today BELAZ is not only one of the pioneers in the field of industrial tourism, but also a recognized leader in terms of tourist flow among enterprises of the Ministry of Industry. In 2023, we became the first in the top attendance, receiving almost 52 thousand visitors. In the first 6 months of this year, 26,970 tourists came to see the big dump trucks, which is 20% more than in the same period last year.

In general, over 9 years, the plant was visited by 270 thousand tourists from Belarus, Russia and several dozen other countries of the near and far abroad. Our flagship status in the field of industrial tourism has been confirmed more than once by diplomas from the largest tourism exhibition and fair in Belarus “Rest”.

Industrial tourism at the enterprise helps strengthen the positive image and recognition of the BELAZ brand, having a pronounced career guidance. Already today, by getting young people interested in the prospects for self-realization and professional growth in mechanical engineering, in the future this will help attract new personnel to the enterprise, capable of making it even stronger and more innovative.

– People who visit BELAZ, children first of all, see that you can work in production, become, for example, a computer numerical control machine operator, have comfortable working conditions, earn good money and proudly create big machines. Therefore, one of the tasks of industrial tourism is educational, so that we get a generation of not only IT specialists, bankers and lawyers, but also people who are able to create real equipment with their own hands,” notes BELAZ General Director Sergei Lesin.

One of the most attractive activities for our guests today is driving in the cabin of a 90-ton stylized BELAZ. This unique dump truck with a national ornament on the sides, by the way, is already a celebrity itself! After all, it took part in the Independence Day parade in Minsk and was the main star at the Victory Day celebrations in Zhodino. And now it is entirely at the service of our tourists, who over the past month and a half have “chartered” this 90-tonne vessel to travel around the factory site 955 times.

BELAZ specialists strive to constantly improve the quality of tourism services provided, work to update excursion routes, make tours more visual and informative, create new tourism products, themed photo zones and interactive locations, expand exhibition space and the range of branded products. Much of what was planned has already been implemented, but much more remains to be done.
