On September 22 a ceremonial opening of JSC “Hydraulic united company” took place in Pinsk. The company is created with participation of OJSC “BELAZ” – Management Company of Holding “BELAZ-HOLDING” (Republic of Belarus) and JSC “PNEVMOSTROIMASHINA” (Russian Federation). New enterprise will specialize in the production of axial piston hydraulic pumps with adjustable capacity, as well as their maintenance and repair.

The event was attended by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kuznetsov, the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik, the General Director of OJSC BELAZ Sergei Lesin, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC PNEVMOSTROIMASHINA Anatoly Pavlov, heads of the largest Belarusian industrial enterprises and local governments.

"The opening of our joint venture is an important step toward technological independence and the development of domestic industry. Developing domestic production of axial piston pumps will not only meet the needs of core Belarusian mechanical engineering companies but also stimulate innovation and promote import substitution in Belarusian mechanical engineering industry. This will create new working positions and new opportunities for growth and strengthening of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry. In modern conditions of strengthening integration processes with our Russian partners and ensuring technological sovereignty are becoming key factors for sustainable development, and the Hydraulic United Company is contributing to achieving these strategic goals," noted Sergey Lesin, General Director of OJSC BELAZ.

The opening ceremony marked with testing of an axial piston pump, manufactured using Belarusian components, for the flagship model BELAZ-7513 mining dump truck. Furthermore, new pumps will be in demand among manufacturers of agricultural and road construction equipment.

The decision to establish the Hydraulic United Company was made in late 2022 and was largely driven by pressure fr om Western countries whose companies had branched out. Its design capacity is 5,500 units of hydraulic pumps and spare parts per year, with potential to increase to 8,520 units. This is a unique production facility for Belarus, whose products will be in high demand at the leading Belarusian mechanical engineering companies (OJSC BELAZ, PJSC Gomselmash, and OJSC MTW). It is particularly noteworthy that the creation of such a Joint Venture will not only allow to form of a domestic design and technology school and to develop new popular competencies, but will also reduce dependence on foreign suppliers, increasing the import independence of the domestic mechanical engineering industry.

Guests attending the opening were briefed on the progress of the investment project "Creation of a production facility for axial piston hydraulic pumps with adjustable capacity." Maxim Zakharenko, director of OJSC Kuzlitmash, wh ere the production was launched, also demonstrated the company's workshops and new products. Special attention was given to the multipurpose crank type hot forging press. The first delivery of this equipment will be in October to a Russian mechanical facility, and two units have already been contracted and will be shipped shortly. This is highly demanded equipment for the production of forgings from ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys which can be used both independently and as part of automated complexes and lines.
