One of the largest mining industry exhibitions in Russia began its work today in Novokuznetsk. The largest BELAZ dump truck running on a natural gas engine fuel with a carrying capacity of 130 tons is being presented at the open area of the «Kuzbass Fair» exhibition complex.

One of the first honored guests of our exposition was the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Mochalnikov, the Acting Governor of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass Ilya Seredyuk, the head of the city of Novokuznetsk Sergei Kuznetsov, who were presented with an innovative gas dump truck BELAZ-7513R.

The new 130-ton liquefied natural gas (LNG) machine combines the latest technology with fuel efficiency, performance and reliability, high levels of safety and environmental friendliness.

The promising model has an efficient gas engine with a power of 1194 kW (1600 hp), an electromechanical AC-DC transmission, a proprietary pneumatic-hydraulic suspension, reliable steering, braking system and hydraulics, plus a built-in technical condition monitoring system IMS of our own design, modern safety systems and numerous options for comfortable work of the dump truck operator.

All of this features makes the BELAZ-7513P dump truck highly productive and maximally beneficial for the consumer. According to specialists’ calculations, during the industrial operation of a 130-ton gas tanker in a quarry, savings on fuel compared to its diesel counterpart can amount to up to 35% per year.

Two full-size tanks of 1,400 liters of gas each allow the machine to confidently work a full shift for 12-14 hours without stopping to refuel.

Another significant advantage of a gas fuel dump truck is that it is more environmentally friendly than a diesel one. The combustion of natural gas releases significantly less harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

BELAZ is developing a line of gas-powered mining dump trucks as one of the directions for creating promising eco-equipment based on alternative energy sources. Kuzbass today occupies a leading position in Russia in the use of LNG in quarry transport, and its potential is simply enormous. It is no coincidence that 11 BELAZ-7558H 90-ton gas trucks are successfully operating here, transporting coal. Let us remind you that the first example of this dump truck became the main star of the Novokuznetsk exhibition in 2022.
