The running-in phase, which lasted about a month, came to an end today. During the entire period, BELAZ service team and mine employees tested the operation of heavy-duty special purpose mining equipment in a two-shift mode to ensure the adjustment of its systems for further industrial operation. In the test mode, the grader has already traveled almost 2,000 km, clearing and improving the access roads of the open-pit coal mine.

The grader for mining work is a new type of quarry transport for BELAZ, expanding the range of special-purpose equipment for servicing the "transport arteries" of open-pit mines. BELAZ-79770 is equipped with an energy-efficient 600-horsepower diesel engine, a large grader blade more than 7 m wide and a maximum depth of 625 mm made of high-strength steel, as well as a ripper that allows for a loosening depth of up to 455 mm. In general, there are only two OEMs of such transport in the world. BELAZ became the third one.

Let us recall that the grader was first presented at the International Exhibition of Mining Technologies "Russian Coal and Mining-2025", held on June 3-6, 2025 in Novokuznetsk, from there the grader was sent for testing to one of our long-standing and reliable partners - the company "Kuzbassrazrezugol".
