The companies signed a letter of intent to conclude a contract by the end of 2026 for the supply of 86 diesel engines manufactured by the Urals Diesel Engine Plant (UDMZ, a subsidiary of the Sinara – Transport Machines holding). The engines are designed for 220-ton BELAZ mining dump trucks.

The official signing ceremony took place on July 6 on the sidelines of the 16th International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2026 in Yekaterinburg. The agreement was signed by Sergey Lesin, General Director of OJSC BELAZ, and Viktor Lesh, General Director of Sinara Group.

The 12-cylinder 12DM-185A engine, designed specifically for heavy mining equipment, successfully completed testing on a 220-ton BELAZ-75303 dump truck in 2025, demonstrating its operational readiness. This import-substituting Russian engine incorporates components supplied by Belarusian manufacturers.

"The development and deepening of our cooperation with Sinara Group creates the foundation for our shared technological sovereignty," noted Sergey Lesin, General Director of BELAZ. "We consider the creation of a high-power diesel engine as a joint product of the Union State to be a strategic priority, and thank the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for their support in implementing these innovations."
