Thousands of Zhodino citizens and guests who visited this large-scale musical open-air event on August 3 were awarded this status to BELAZ FEST 2024.
For the second year in a row, the city of machine builders has hosted a large-scale festival BELAZ FEST. According to established tradition, the leading place at the event was taken by the exhibition of equipment. Numerous Zhodino citizens and guests of the city, who gathered on a sunny day on August 3 at the BELAZ Palace of Culture, were presented with dump trucks that took part in the parade on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. The column of equipment of the enterprises of the Ministry of Industry on July 3 in Minsk was headed by a 90-ton BELAZ-75584, stylized in the colors and elements of the Belarusian flag, and a 40-ton crimson BELAZ-754856. The same dump truck was filmed in the famous Soviet comedy film of the 1960s "Queen of the Gas Station".
A real surprise for festival visitors was the restored 30-ton BELAZ-7540, the successor of the legendary BELAZ-540A dump truck, which was the first in the USSR automobile industry to be awarded the State Quality Mark on June 20, 1967. Swings were attached to the platforms of both retro dump trucks at the back - this improvised photo zone was extremely popular with children and adults. Other examples fr om the world of powerful engines - motorcycles, tuned and sports cars, among which were our country's champions in drifting, also aroused genuine interest.

The most important attributes of any festival - attractions, themed photo zones, food court, prize drawings - enjoyed great attention fr om our guests. For children, a quest "Team of the First" was organized, wh ere young visitors were able to demonstrate their dexterity and ingenuity in performing various tasks related to robotics.

The main venue of the festival was a huge stage wh ere numerous Belarusian creative groups performed, including the favorites of the Zhodino public, Belarusian pop stars Teo and Olga Ryzhikova, the retro woman trio "Pink Roses", and the group Cosa Nostra. "Faina-Faina!.." - the audience loudly sang along to the chorus of the hit. Vladimir Politov, Vyacheslav Zherebkin and Mikhail Igonin - the current line-up of "Na-Na" - performed their best songs. However, the performance of the festival's headliner did not complete the musical program. Dance hits from a DJ located on the deck of a 90-ton dump truck turned the square into a huge dance floor. The festivities continued until late in the evening, which was facilitated by the beautiful August weather.
"Our music festival became one of the most striking events of the past summer in the life of BELAZ," said Alexey Grachev, Deputy Director General for Strategic Development and Corporate Management of BELAZ. "Zhodino machine builders showed that they can not only create the best quarry dump trucks in the world, but also relax 100 percent. When planning this festival, we sought to demonstrate the versatility of the BELAZ brand, strengthen it, attract the attention of the younger generation to our enterprise and products, create a new bright summer tradition so that the city and the holding's employees would have their own large-scale summer holiday. We wanted to make BELAZ FEST unite people of different ages and interests, create a festive atmosphere and awaken a sense of pride in the BELAZ brand - the heritage of Belarus. I think we succeeded.".
Thanks to everyone who shared this holiday with us!
