BELAZ introduces innovative steel grades into the production of quarry equipment

It was created jointly with the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences (JIM NAS) of Belarus.

New steel grades further increase the service life of parts and transmission units of BELAZ mining dump trucks subjected to extreme loads.

Chromium-nickel steel with molybdenum

Today, all gears of the motor-wheel gearbox are made of this steel and undergo carburization.

Low-alloy steel

This is a completely new type of steel, in which expensive alloying elements are minimized.

During bench tests, high-stress motor-wheel gears made from this type of steel demonstrated increased strength and reliability.

As a result, a pilot batch of dump trucks of the flagship BELAZ-7513 and BELAZ-7530 series with motor-wheels, in which gears made of economically alloyed steel were installed, was manufactured.

All these new products allow us to produce more and more advanced components and parts that significantly increase the service life of equipment in difficult operating conditions.

BELAZ dump trucks led a column of civilian equipment at the parade in honor of Independence Day of Belarus

The legendary BELAZ, a product of Soviet engineers that took part in the largest construction projects of the USSR, and a modern 90-ton dump truck in a distinct national style, led the column of equipment of the Ministry of Industry of our country at the parade on July 3 in honor of the celebration of Independence Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus.
