On September 30, BELAZ was visited by delegations from two regions of the Russian Federation: the Tomsk Region, headed by Governor Vladimir Mazur, and the Ulyanovsk Region, headed by Governor Alexei Russkikh. The purpose of the visits is to strengthen industrial ties and create new joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation.

Representatives fr om Siberia and Volga Region visited factory workshops, wh ere they seen the assembly process of heavy duty BELAZ dump trucks, assessed the level of technological advancements and the scale of production of the global manufacturer of mining equipment. The guests were introduced to the wide product range of BELAZ and samples of innovative models of mining equipment.

The Governors of the Russian regions discussed with BELAZ top managers possible areas and potential options for business partnerships with leading regional industrial enterprises and investment cooperation.

Thus, Vladimir Mazur - the Governor of Tomsk region noted that Tomsk can serve as both a production and research site for BELAZ in the fields of electronics and unmanned technologies.

– We are very interested in cooperation with BELAZ company. The economy of the Tomsk region is rich in high-tech enterprises that can offer the advanced solutions to BELAZ plant, such as, for example, a voice assistant or navigation in mine. We are discussing all this with BELAZ management for joint cooperation, and we expect to be useful, because it is important to look ahead, and competitors are not standing still," said the head of the Tomsk Region.

Alexey Russkikh - the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region in its turn noted that the delegation also includes representatives from leading regional companies, who are ready to discuss prospects for collaboration with their Belarusian partners to achieve common technological goals in mechanical engineering. Specifically, the key topics of discussion were the supply of metal-cutting tools and the implementation of digital solutions for manufacturing.

BELAZ cooperates with consumers from various Russian regions, supplying mining equipment for the mining industry and developing the infrastructure of technical support and service in its places of operation. Together with Russian partners, BELAZ implements a number of import-substituting projects and initiatives to create the equipment and its components. Cooperation is an important element in strengthening mutually beneficial ties in the fields of industry, science and innovation.
