The latest robotic technological complex (RTC) for platform elements welding of heavy and extra-heavy dump trucks with payload capacity from 90 to 360 tons was commissioned. Introduction of such modern equipment is one of the trends of the large-scale investment program of modernization of the main production facilities implemented by BELAZ.

Modern bride-type robotic welding complex, located at BELAZ extra-heavy dump trucks production facility, automatically welds the bases of dump truck platforms, providing a number of advantages for the production process. The key aspects are ensuring the high quality of welded joints, which is achieved through the high-precision work of the two "mobile arms" of the manipulators. Furthermore RTC allowed to increase the speed of welding process by minimizing time spent on preparation and subsequent processing of products, productivity was increased by reducing labor costs.

Integrated control system allows the operator of RTC not only to set up robotic welding processes quickly, but also control them efficiently.

Safety at the operator’s position was the priority while implementing a new welding complex. Its reliable protection system includes special protection, light barriers and stations.

The latest welding technologies and welding robotization of the most critical components of dump trucks allow BELAZ to reach a fundamentally new level of efficiency, productivity, quality and competitiveness of its products.
