At the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2026 in Yekaterinburg, OJSC BELAZ and MMC Norilsk Nickel signed an agreement for the supply of the latest models of BELAZ underground equipment for pilot testing.

The document was signed by Sergey Lesin, General Director of OJSC BELAZ, and Andrey Skokov, Deputy Director for Self-Propelled Equipment Engineering at Norilsk Nickel’s Polar Division.

The agreement builds on the strategic understandings reached by the companies in 2025. Based on this, BELAZ and Norilsk Nickel will continue the joint development of specialized, high-tech, import-independent underground equipment.

Under the agreement, a 45-ton BELAZ-75855 underground truck and a BELAZ-79550 load-haul-dump unit with a payload capacity of 17.2 tons will be delivered this year for testing in Norilsk Nickel’s underground workings.
