BELAZ will increase the corrosion resistance of parts by up to 30%.

It is possible due to the launch of a new automatic line for galvanic zinc coating of the parts.

The ceremonial event with participation of the Ministry of Industry Alexandr Rogozhnik, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee for Economy Alexandr Rulkevich, Chairman of Zhodino Executive Committee Dmitry Zablotsky and General Director of OJSC “BELAZ” Siarhei Nikifarovich took place today, February 16, in our plant.

The new line for galvanic zinc coating allows not only to increase the number of processed parts per day up to 70%, but also extend the workpiece variety: if earlier parts weighing up to 50 kg were coated, now it is large parts weighing up to 150 kg, which subsequently will be used for assembly.

Another expertise – parts after zinc coating will be additionally covered up with special polymer impregnation, which will ensure complete sealing of the parts.

The purchase of a new galvanizing line was part of a large-scale program for modernizing BELAZ production for 2020-2025, which included investments of around 450 million Belarusian rubles.

This project allows to free up the production area, that is necessary for our development, as well as product high-quality parts for mining dump trucks that operate in severe climatic conditions.
