Our reliable partner held a championship the other day in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for Best in Profession among best operators in driving the BELAZ dump trucks.

The professionals fr om Mirny, Aikhal, Udachny, Yakutsk, Arkhangelsk, and the mines of the Anabarsky and Bulunsky districts demonstrated their jewelry skills while driving a 90-ton BELAZ dump truck at the industrial site of the Yubileiny mine of the Aikhal Mining and Processing Plant.

In a spectacular competition of practical driving skills, diamond miners masterfully maneuvered a multi-ton mining vehicle in a snaking pattern between cones, carefully parked in a narrow garage, and even drove to an improvised target, filigree-precisely unloading cargo from the body!

The winners of the title "Best in ALROSA Profession" were awarded with their well-deserved awards, and satisfied spectators from the nearby diamond village of Aikhal filled their social networks with cool photos, because only during the competition days could you get unique photos against the backdrop of mining giants.

At the initiative of our company, in 2019, an international professional community "BELAZ Operators Club" was created.
