On October 28, as part of a visit to the Republic of Belarus, Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, visited our enterprise.

The Russian delegation, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, was met by BELAZ General Director Sergei Lesin.

Sergey Lesin acquainted the guests with the production, the products being manufactured and spoke about the progress of implementing joint investment projects in the field of mechanical engineering within the Union State.

As examples of allied cooperation in the creation of new models of quarry equipment, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government was shown dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 220 tons with Russian engines from the Ural diesel engine and Kolomna plants. These experimental machines consist of more than 90% components produced by enterprises in Belarus and Russia.

– The Russian Federation is our key partner both as a consumer of equipment and as a supplier of key components, – noted Sergey Lesin. – The Government of the Russian Federation provides us with assistance: a loan has been allocated on preferential terms for the implementation of the investment program at our main site in Zhodino, as well as at the sites of the holding's enterprises – in Orsha and Pinsk. For example, in Pinsk we created a joint venture with a Russian company to manufacture axial piston pumps. Previously, these products were supplied from Germany, but today we are independently solving this problem and supplying the product manufactured in Pinsk to the conveyor.

During the visit, Denis Manturov made an entry in the book of honorary guests of BELAZ: “BELAZ factory workers! You produce modern equipment, well known far beyond the borders of Belarus. I look forward to deepening production cooperation with Russian enterprises. Good luck in achieving your planned projects!”
