On Saturday morning, September 27, BELAZ warmly opened its doors to welcome thousands of guests for its Open Day, who came to see the company's operations nowadays, its outstanding mining equipment, and our latest engineering.

The celebration began with a solemn and dignified ceremony, honoring the plant's best employees, who, through coming year had earned honorary titles, badges, certificates, sincere congratulations, flowers, and gratitude fr om their native enterprise, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, and the regional and city administrations. More than 100 employees of BELAZ were proudly awarded the title of "Veteran of Labor of BELAZ" on this festive day.

Congratulating the employees, the General Director of BELAZ Siarhei Lesin noted that along with along with its labor traditions, the company's principal wealth has always been its working people—true patriots who dedicate their lives to their beloved work:

– I thank our many thousands of employees for their conscientious work and faith to the company. Your work allows us to move forward, achieve lofty goals, set records, and win. We have much to be proud of. We remember the feat of productivity of our grandfathers, whose initiative and energy enabled us to create a product that set the course for our company's development for decades to come and became its icon - that is BELAZ-540 mining dump truck. We remember the selfless work of our fathers, who enabled our company to survive in 1990s, restructured production to produce market-favorite vehicles, and created the legendary dump trucks –BELAZ-7513 and BELAZ-7530. These trucks remain bestsellers on the global market up to date. We also celebrate the heroes of our time. They developed, designed technologies, and produced prototypes of heavy-duty mining excavators and graders, mine dump trucks, and loaders. These products will make us even more mature and perpetual.

The festival's main premiere was BELAZ-7513V 130T hydrogen-powered dump truck, which was showcased along with its refueling infrastructure. The creation of this dump truck was the result of our own experience in developing hydrogen power plants. The first test of the prototype was successfully completed in 2023, demonstrating the technology's potential. A batch of these dump trucks is already awaiting delivery to Sakhalin for participation in a unique hydrogen project.

– A special feature of the 130T hydrogen-powered mining truck demonstration was that we also represented a key part of the project—the refueling infrastructure—along with the truck itself. Visitors had an opportunity to see not only the truck itself but also how it will be refueled under real-world operating conditions. This year we also significantly expanded our equipment exhibition and opened a large territory of the plant to our guests this year, emphasized Alexey Grachev, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development and Corporate Management.

The brightest event of the celebration was an unusual volleyball match, played in the body of 450T BELAZ-75711 dump truck between stars of Belarusian and Russian beach volleyball - it is a show without equal! Belarusian champions Alexander Dedkov and Pavel Petrushko represented Belarus in the show match, and Olympic medalist and world champion Vyacheslav Krasilnikov and World and European Youth Championship winner Dmitry Veretyuk represented Russia.

– I've always wanted to see a truck of this size. The size is impressive! The factory itself is enormous. I'm shocked that production can occupy such a large space, Dmitry Veretyuk shared his emotions. We played two games with the Belarusian guys at a height of three stages. This had never been done anywhere before, so it was incredibly cool to be part of history! I'm proud of myself, of the guys, and of our volleyball.

In the battle, on the largest mining dump truck in the world, friendship won – 1:1: the Russians won the first set – 21:19, and the Belarusians won the second set with a mirror score.

Artists performed at numerous locations throughout the enterprise, along with food courts and play areas for children and adults. Interactive training areas, wh ere employees fr om the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Department of Internal Affairs demonstrated modern special equipment, outfit, and specialized machinery, giving a lot of bright emotions and becoming part of the celebration of Machine Builders' Day.

Visitors of our company also took a walk around the production facilities and participated in an extensive entertainment program that allowed everyone to feel like part of one big family of Belarusian mechanical engineers.

As evening approached, the celebration continued at Torpedo Stadium, wh ere, under the applause of numerous spectators, BELAZ announced the names and awarded the winners of the best professional categories in the main corporate competition “Person of the Year”.

In honor of BELAZ creators, popular musicians performed a colorful show program: famous hits were performed on stage by the groups "Bratiya Grimm" (Brothers Grimm), "SKYNET", and the vocal ensemble "Pure Voice".

The celebration concluded spectacularly with an impressive fireworks display that burst into the night sky of Zhodino with hundreds of multi-colored lights.
