On June 21, as part of their visit to the Republic of Belarus, a representative Russian delegation headed by the Governor of the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass Ilya Seredyuk visited our enterprise.

The guests were met by the General Director of our company Sergey Lesin. The main topic of the business visit was the discussion of the progress of the implementation of joint investment projects of BELAZ with enterprises of Kuzbass and the prospects for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the largest coal mining region of Russia.

BELAZ is a key partner for Kuzbass. Today, more than three thousand units of BELAZ equipment are working in the coal mines of the Kemerovo Region – these are mining dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 30 to 360 tons and special equipment for various purposes. In total, more than 400 enterprises in the region are consumers of our products.

Our partners, for their part, are interested in localizing the production of components for BELAZ in Kuzbass.

“We came to BELAZ specifically to talk, because it is important for us to discuss our plans and prospects for cooperation,” noted Ilya Seredyuk. “BELAZ and Kuzbass are long-standing strategic partners. We are building service centers, developing maintenance of this complex equipment in our region. BELAZ equipment operates at each open pit and it is important that its downtime in the production process is minimal if one or another part fails. Therefore, BELAZ and its partners have now created a system for supplying spare parts and replacing them directly at the open pit, and prompt repairs are carried out on site. Plus, if we can produce some spare parts quickly, without delivery, we are also ready for this work.”

Along with deliveries of mining equipment, BELAZ is implementing a number of projects in the region. One of the largest is the BELAZ Technical Support Center, opened 5 years ago near the village of Gramoteino in the Belovsky Municipal District. As the Governor of Kuzbass said, the second stage of construction of this facility is planned to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025. It will become part of the expanding infrastructure of a large multi-brand center for servicing and selling a wide range of Belarusian equipment in Kuzbass.

“In fact, BELAZ today is becoming a conductor of the Belarusian economic agenda in the Kemerovo region, since like a locomotive it pulls behind it a whole train of component base for machinery and units. Kuzbass, in turn, acts not only as a buyer, but also as a testing ground for the industrial giant. We hope that our cooperation will scale and expand,” said the head of Kuzbass.

Introducing the delegation members to the enterprise, BELAZ Director Sergei Lesin spoke about the specifics of the assembly process for serial models of mining dump trucks, the creation of innovative equipment samples and import-substituting products.

“The Kemerovo region has always been and remains a key one for BELAZ, both in terms of testing our prototype equipment, confirming the effectiveness of solutions that are used here at the Zhodino site, and in terms of a commercial partner that consumes our equipment in maximum volumes. The share of Kuzbass here always prevails over all other regions of the Russian Federation,” emphasized Sergey Lesin. “We are also actively working in terms of cooperation. Thus, the BELAZ-75304 dump trucks, which were created under the import substitution program, include hydraulic oil coolers manufactured in Novokuznetsk, and we are ready to expand cooperation.”

The Kuzbass delegation also visited the modernized workshop of the main conveyor and the production of super-heavy vehicles. At the same time, Ilya Seredyuk personally rode in the cabin of our famous 450-ton giant from the Guinness Book of Records. By the way, it should be noted that it was in Kuzbass that the world’s largest mining dump truck BELAZ-75710 showed what it was capable of, having worked out its allotted service life in the Chernigovets coal mine.
