17 new ultra-heavy BELAZ dump trucks with a payload capacity of 130T up to 220T have been put into operation at two key enterprises in the region – the Luchegorsk open-pit coal mine (LUR) in Primorye and the Solntsevsky open-pit coal mine (SUR) in Sakhalin. BELAZ mining dump trucks are designed to ensure increased coal transportation volumes, as well as long-term and uninterrupted operation even in the most difficult operating conditions.

Five 220T BELAZ-7530G dump trucks arrived in summer at Primorsky LUR. As of today, all the dump trucks have been assembled, tested and are ready for operation. New mining equipment commissioning is a major event for Luchegorsk coal miners that always takes place in a festive atmosphere.

– We are purposefully increasing the production capacity of our enterprise to meet the growing needs of Primorskiy GRES (state district power plant). In 2024, 43 units of new equipment were introduced, including 11 BELAZ dump trucks. This year, a new batch of such equipment with a lifting capacity of 220 tons was put into operation, - noted LUR General Director Vyacheslav Nateikin at the festive ceremony.

The keys to the new dump trucks were solemnly handed over to the leading drivers, and the winner of the LUR "Labor Watch" was awarded with a letter of thanks from BELAZ General Director Sergei Lesin for his loyalty to professional duty and high level of operation of BELAZ dump trucks.

The Sakhalin Region also focuses on the power, reliability and efficiency of Belarusian mining equipment. This year, the transport division of the Solntsevsky coal mine was reinforced by twelve dump trucks: six units of BELAZ-7530G dump trucks with payload capacity of 220T and six units of 130T BELAZ-7513D trucks.

The first working shifts of two 220T new mining dump trucks became an important production event for the miners of SUR. BELAZ mining dump trucks were named after the honored workers of the enterprise. From now on, as the miners say, the personalized dump trucks "Yuri Tenkov" and "Mikhail Semenov" are not just trucks, but the symbols of self-sacrificing labor. In total, 11 BELAZ mining dump trucks, named after the heroes of Sakhalin, are now operating at the open pit.
