The milestone 90-ton mining dump truck of BELAZ-7558 series — chassis No. 500 — was assembled.

Mining dump trucks of this particular series made it into history as the world's first dump trucks with payload capacity of 90 metric tons equipped with an electromechanical AC transmission.

The solemn event was attended by Siarhei Nikifarovich, General Director of OJSC "BELAZ", Viktor Kuluyev, Director for Strategic Development of JSC "Trading House "BELAZ", Dmitry Zablotsky, Chairman of the Zhodino City Administration.

"This glorious story, connected with the development and production of the fundamentally new dump truck with payload capacity of 90 metric tons equipped with an electromechanical transmission began way back 2012," mentioned Siarhei Nikifarovich, General Director of OJSC "BELAZ", congratulating the team on this significant event. "Time has shown that it was this truck that allowed us to confidently enter the market of manufacturers of mining equipment in this segment, successfully gain a foothold there and hold positions to this day. Thanks to the work of our design engineers, technologists, production workers, technical service specialists, constant high-quality interaction with our customers, the BELAZ-7558 series trucks were improved and modernized from chassis to chassis. And today we can confidently say that the 500th chassis, which we are transferring to the harsh world of the mining industry, meets all the necessary operational requirements."

Today, the product line of BELAZ-7558 series dump trucks is represented by 10 different modifications. Active work is underway to further expand the promising model range of mining dump trucks of this series by introducing new technical solutions and equipment in accordance with the consumer requirements, including a number of different options and specialized systems that make the operation of these trucks even more simple and convenient. BELAZ-7558 series is also a platform for next-generation trucks such as autonomous and battery-powered dump trucks.
