Powerful newcomers from Belarus – eight 240-ton BELAZ-7531 series mining dump trucks – became a part of a mining equipment fleet of a large iron ore mine near the city of Kostomuksha in the Republic of Karelia.

For several years now, more than four dozen BELAZ mining dump trucks of this class of payload capacity have been the integral part of the Karelsky Okatysh mining and processing plant, one of the largest iron ore mining enterprises in Russia.

The 240-ton BELAZ dump trucks are reliable and productive, equipped with fuel-efficient engines and modern safety systems. Electronics monitor the weight of the mined rock, determine tire pressure, warn against high-voltage lines, and more. According to the operators the ride is smooth, and the cabin is comfortable and safe.

Laser-guided welding: BELAZ enhances production automation with digital solutions

The latest Robotic Welding Complex (RWC) for welding the frames of BELAZ mining dump trucks of 220–240 tons payload capacity, equipped with laser sensors for monitoring the welds, has been put into operation. A project of this scale and technological complexity has been implemented in the company’s welding production for the first time and has no analogues in Belarus.
