As part of BELAZ's import-substitution project for the production of large-size bearings, high-performance CNC equipment—two multifunctional machining centers—has been installed in the Assembly Shop No. 1.

These modern machines will fully support the production of the original roller parts for the rear axle bearings of BELAZ mining dump trucks with payload capacities ranging from 90 to 240 tons. Previously, such parts were purchased from other manufacturers.

Programmable milling, thread cutting, and drilling operations are performed on the machining centers with an accuracy of up to 10 microns and high-quality processing. Compared to previous-generation machines, process efficiency on the new machining centers increases more than fivefold due to the processing speed and use of advanced metal-cutting tools.

It is worth noting that the new equipment can also be used for complex mechanical processing of rotational parts for pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.

Machining centers will increase the level of technological-process automation: workpieces are now fed for processing automatically from a special storage unit and are repositioned according to a control program without the direct involvement of the machine operator.
