Prospects for cooperation in the production and supply of equipment for underground ore mining were discussed on 13 February during a visit to BELAZ by a delegation from our company's long-standing partner, JSC Apatit , PhosAgro Group, Russian Federation.

The guests were acquainted with the key production shops of the plant and samples of manufactured equipment, presented at the exhibition site of our company.

In the course of the negotiations, they discussed the possibilities and features of the equipment and the required functionality of the loading and delivery and loading and transport equipment required at the mines of the Kirov branch of JSC Apatit, based on the specific conditions of underground mining of apatite-nepheline ores in the Murmansk region.

A particular item in the business programme of the Russian partners' visit was a test drive of the latest model of the BELAZ-4076 loading and delivery machine with a load capacity of 17,2 tonnes. The primary purpose of such a powerful machine is loading and transporting loosened rock mass in the cramped conditions of mines.

JSC Apatit is one of the world's largest producers of phosphate rock for mineral fertilisers. Today, the company's enterprises operate a large fleet of 130 and 180 tonne dump trucks and BELAZ special-purpose vehicles.
