On the eve of Miner's Day, teams of operators from coal mining companies in Siberia and the Far East competed in the 5th Interregional Professional Skills Competition in driving BELAZ dump trucks and other mining equipment.

70 best masters of their craft fought for victory in 13 nominations on the site of the Kuzbass coal mine: operators of BELAZ trucks of various capacities, operators of excavators, diesel locomotives, bulldozers, loaders and other workers of the coal mining industry from five teams of Russian regions - Kemerovo and Amur regions, Krasnoyarsk Krai (two teams) and the Republic of Khakassia.

The competition stages were preceded by a spectacular theatrical performance involving 14 machines simultaneously. A spectacular techno show with a parade and dance of quarry machines was accompanied by live music - a cellist and violinists played gracefully on the decks of BELAZ trucks.

During the competitions BELAZ operators had to not only confirm their theoretical knowledge, but also demonstrate masterful skills of driving the dump truck. On a specially prepared route the contestants masterfully twisted "snake" with "figure eights" on the vehicles, and also drove gracefully into the zone of loading and unloading of rock.

According to the results of the Interregional professional skills competition “Best in profession-2023” the Kemerovo miners, the hosts of the competition, celebrated victory in the team competition.
