The Coal Company, which runs our first gas-motor 90-ton mining dump truck BELAZ-7558N, decided to enlarge its vehicle fleet with such trucks. Four gas mining dump trucks BELAZ are being shipped to the customer in October and the rest six will be delivered before the end of the year.

Let us remind that a new mining dump truck running on liquefied natural gas was represented at the Russian Coal and Mining exhibition in Novokuznetsk last year. At the exhibition the prototype of a gas 90-ton mining dump truck was sold.

Today gas mining dump truck BELAZ shows its best side. The fact that the gas engine of a dump truck is approximately 30% more economical and significantly more environmentally friendly than a standard diesel engine makes BELAZ-7558H highly attractive to consumers. At the same time, the dump truck has practically proven it compliance with all the safety, reliability and productivity requirements that are raised for equipment during open-pit mining.

The promising 90-ton dump truck is assembled with an efficient 1 068 hp gas piston engine and a modern AC traction electric drive. The dump truck works through shifts without stopping to refuel for sure due to large cryotanks that hold 1400 and 350 liters of gas. The dump truck also has the ability to be installed with an innovative system for monitoring the operation of mining transport IMS, which was developed by our company.

Mining dump trucks in 90-ton capacity segment are among the most demanded among miners, such vehicles secure around 50% of global market. Today, almost 700 units of 90-ton BELAZ dump trucks are in operation.
