This is fundamentally new type of the vehicles for Krasnoyarsk coalminers. Here before, foreign 90 tons dump trucks only with hydromechanical transmission were used.

BELAZ dump trucks with payload capacity of 90 tons with diesel engine with power of 1224 hp and electromechanical transmission are designed to replace the vehicle of our competitors that have gone from the Russian market. The operation experience of the dump trucks of such class shows that comparing to hydromechanical transmission, electromechanical transmission provides better traction, speed and braking characteristics of the vehicle, increases the operational reliability and performance for transport, decreases maintenance and repair costs, and the price of the dump truck ownership as a whole.

Krasnoyarsk miners that managed to assess the vehicle in action, say that 90 tons BELAZ-75589 with electromechanical transmission are reliable, highly productive and efficient: they cope with load very well when being on slopes, because the electric engines make it possible to transmission to operate without slipping, and electrodynamic braking in generator mode on descents provides anti-slip for the wheels.
