Luchegorsk coal mine (LUR), which is called the coal heart of Primorsky Krai, by the end of June plans to enlarge its mining equipment fleet with five BELAZ trucks with payload capacity 220T. New dump trucks will join 36 trucks with a payload capacity of 130-220T purchased by Primorye enterprise over the past two years.
The heavy-duty Belarusian equipment will allow to increase the production volumes of brown coal, the valuable natural energy resources, and will strengthen the logistical facilities of one of the key Russian solid fuel extraction enterprises in the Far East.
Oleg Kozhemyako, the Governor of Primorsky Krai, recently assessed the quality and efficiency of Belarusian dump trucks. During his visit to the Luchegorsk open pit mine, he personally drove wheel the BELAZ mining dump truck:
- We have tested Belarusian equipment. I can say that the quality is extremely high, as both drivers and those who buy it say. BELAZ enterprise is a reliable partner. Despite its overall dimensions, the equipment is quite easy to drive, which I was personally convinced of at the LUR training ground.... I think that the BELAZ trucks purchased by the mine will be competently used. We see that cooperation with the Republic of Belarus and the BELAZ enterprise is yielding results in increasing coal production.
BELAZ-7513D and BELAZ-7530G dump trucks are the first link in LUR's transportation chain. Mining dump trucks with 220T payload capacity ensure reliable delivery of coal from the open-pit mine to the stations of loading into railway cars, while 130T counterparts transport overburden.
Belarusian multi-tonnage trucks are equipped with powerful and efficient engines. The trucks are equipped with reliable pneumohydraulic suspension that provides high smoothness and maneuverability of the truck, durability of components and comfortable working conditions for the operator.
BELAZ special-purpose equipment also operates at LUR. This winter, two new BELAZ-7430G tow tractors were delivered to the open-pit mine. These large mining tow trucks are used for prompt towing of heavy equipment to the repair area and reduce equipment downtime.
