BELAZ continues to work closely with its long-time partner on the Kola Peninsula - Olkon JSC. A batch of 11 BELAZ-7513 series mining dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 130 tons is being shipped to Russia’s northernmost producer of iron ore concentrate.
In the Murmansk region, the Olenegorsk mining and processing plant began to receive quarry machines from Belarus: four BELAZ dump trucks in the northern version have already been assembled at the industrial sites of the plant and put into operation. Seven more units of heavy-duty equipment are expected to arrive in the near future.

According to Konstantin Medyntsev, head of the technological and road transport convoy of the Olkon JSC mining department, the assembled 130-ton trucks have already begun transporting rock mass in the Komsomolsky and Pechkovsky quarries of the mining and processing plant.
Dump trucks of our flagship BELAZ-7513 series, which have been leaders in shipments to consumers for the last three years, have a robust design, low maintenance costs and can withstand the heaviest loads and harsh operating conditions, down to frosts of minus 50. To facilitate engine starting and stable operation systems at low temperatures 130-ton trucks in the northern configuration are equipped with a pre-heater for coolant and fuel.
It is interesting that the first prototype of the BELAZ-75131 dump truck, back in 1998, underwent industrial testing right here, at the Olenegorsk Mining and Processing Plant. Meanwhile, 130-ton vessels have become the main driving force in the extraction of ore mobility within two hundred kilometers of the Arctic Circle.
