The new BELAZ-78242 front-end loader is a powerful solution for those who value maximum productivity and endurance in extreme operating conditions.

The combination of an impressive 6.5 cubic meter bucket and an increased lifting capacity of 11.5 tons with a powerful engine, modern drive and reliable hydraulics make this machine an effective tool for mining enterprises. The new product is designed for fast loading of mining dump trucks with a lifting capacity of up to 60 tons, railway gondolas, dumpcars and other vehicles.

BELAZ-78242 has received a number of design innovations that have improved the key characteristics of the machine. A modernized hydraulic torque converter with a modulating clutch was introduced for precise and smooth adjustment of the traction force and to increase the productivity of the working equipment. The drive axles have been lightened and the rear half-frame has been reinforced, and the folding angle of the half-frames has been increased to 40 degrees, which provided excellent stability and maneuverability.

An efficient 16-liter engine with a capacity of 606 hp serves to maximize the potential of the machine. It is paired with a hydro-mechanical transmission of BELAZ's own production, equipped with four forward and four reverse gears.

BELAZ-78242 is equipped with reliable working equipment with powerful breakout (330 kN) and traction (350 kN) forces.

The front-end loader has a brand new space cabin with a modern design, interior, improved comfort, ergonomics, two seats and a panoramic view of the entire work area. The machine is characterized by convenient operation of the working equipment using two multi-functional joysticks. An operator safety is ensured by a modern cabin protection system that meets ROPS/FOPS standards.
