BELAZ – «Gazprom»: priorities of strategic partnership

On April 10, during a business visit to our country, a delegation from PJSC Gazprom, headed by Vitaly Markelov - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Head of Department, accompanied by Viktor Karankevich - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, visited BELAZ.

The Russian delegation got acquainted with BELAZ's key production facilities and technological capabilities. The guests were told about the specifics of the conveyor assembly of mining equipment, as well as about the technical re-equipment of the enterprise.

At the meeting with Sergey Lesin, General Director of BELAZ, the current and future directions of the strategic partnership in the field of using natural gas as a motor fuel and our latest developments in this field were discussed.

We would like to remind that BELAZ is consistently expanding the range of high-tech gas-powered dump trucks, investing in innovative solutions. For example, LNG–powered dump trucks - the 90-ton BELAZ-7558N and the 130-ton BELAZ-7513R - are successfully demonstrating their effectiveness in Kuzbass mines.

BELAZ and Gazprom will continue their joint work within the framework of the Belarusian-Russian partnership to expand the use of natural gas motor fuel and develop the technological potential of enterprises in the two countries.

Imagine the thrill of riding in a huge BELAZ! That's exactly how, on July 15, the 11th anniversary of industrial tourism at the plant, a special guest was welcomed – Irina Karmalkova from Minsk, who became the 5,000th female tourist to ride in the cab of 90-ton dump truck around the test ground.
