In order to provide the company's workshops with high-quality axial cutting tools in a timely manner, BELAZ's machinery stock has been replenished with a high-tech grinding and sharpening unit with an intelligent software control system.

The new equipment, introduced during the modernization of tool production, is multifunctional: the machine combines several tool processing operations in a continuous sequence.

Drills and countersinks, reamers and taps, milling cutters with complex geometries of profiles and radii receive the final high-precision sharpening of the cutting edges in just one installation, which allows for greater efficiency. Previously, several single-operation machines had to be used for this.

Due to the effective software control, the grinding process is automated, the processing speed is ensured and the high quality of the tool surfaces is achieved. The machine selects the optimal cutting modes, visualizes the processing process, reflecting the 3D model of the product in real time on a color display, and is able to quickly reconfigure for various types of products.
