During the premiere showcase of the BELAZ-7530R gas-powered dump truck at the "Ugol Rossii & Mining 2026" exhibition, currently taking place in Kuzbass, a special emphasis is placed on the next-generation cab with its meticulously designed ergonomics.

The new BELAZ cab is the result of a joint effort between the enterprise and miners: to create a comfortable and safe workplace, feedback from more than 40 mining dump truck operators from around the world was taken into account.

Sergey Dmitriev, a Kuzbassrazrezugol operator, was one of the first to test the new cab seat at the Novokuznetsk exhibition. With over 20 years of mining dump truck driving experience, he started his career on a 130-ton vehicle and currently operates a 360-ton model.

“I like the new cab; it’s much more comfortable. The steering wheel diameter is smaller, which will make it easier to handle. The seat is highly ergonomic, and that's essential since we work 10 to 11-hour shifts. The armrest pads will help reduce strain on the arms and shoulders. There is also a new tablet in the cab to monitor operations, which means working will become much safer,” shared Sergey Dmitriev.

The design of the new BELAZ cab incorporates 57 improvements across three key areas:

First, ergonomics and control: the steering wheel diameter was reduced from 420 to 360 mm for greater freedom of movement, the pedal assembly has a depth adjustment feature, and damping pads on the seat armrests are designed to absorb vibration.

Second, visibility and digitalization: the cab's glass area has increased by 15%, and the number of internal light sources has also grown. Additionally, all operational data is now displayed on an extra 10-inch tablet featuring a proprietary built-in monitoring and predictive analytics system.

Third, climate control and safety: a powerful climate control system protects against heatwaves, while an auxiliary heater with independent air distribution and an upgraded door lock prevent drafts and cab freezing in winter. Operator safety is ensured by new comfortable seats with three-point seatbelts.
