For the first time, 55-ton BELAZ dump trucks were put into operation on the roads of the Ruba dolomite deposit in the Vitebsk region of Belarus

BELAZ-7555B 55-ton class mining dump trucks are brand new to the domestic dolomite processing company. Nine BELAZ dump trucks with payload capacities ranging from 30 to 55 tons have been added to the fleet of OJSC “Dolomit”.

The company’s focus to higher-capacity dump trucks will facilitate increased dolomite rock transportation from the mine to processing facilities and reduce production costs.

“We purchased two BELAZ dump trucks with a 30-ton capacity, five 45-ton dump trucks, and two 55-ton dump trucks,” explained the company’s CEO, Sergey Soglaev. “The 55-ton dump trucks solve the problem of raw material delivery, which will naturally have a positive impact on our company’s economics.”

BELAZ dump trucks have long been an integral part of the production process at the largest dolomite developer in the country, earning a solid reputation for reliability and high-performance equipment.

The BELAZ-7555 series dump trucks remains one of the most popular in the mining industry. The new 55-ton models boast improved performance, fuel-efficient new-generation engines, a modern hydromechanical transmission, efficient suspension, reliable hydraulics and a smart interior with electronic monitoring, diagnostics and safety systems.

The latest Robotic Welding Complex (RWC) for welding the frames of BELAZ mining dump trucks of 220–240 tons payload capacity, equipped with laser sensors for monitoring the welds, has been put into operation. A project of this scale and technological complexity has been implemented in the company’s welding production for the first time and has no analogues in Belarus.
