Spotlight on investments and innovation: Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich visits BELAZ

The implementation of investment projects for the production of technologically independent mining equipment and the strengthening of industrial cooperation were the main topics of the working visit of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich to OJSC "BELAZ", which took place on June 19.

Sergey Lesin, General Director of BELAZ, briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the progress of the large-scale modernization of the production facilities, the introduction of new equipment, and cutting-edge technologies. Special emphasis was placed on a strategic priority: the development and manufacture of advanced mining equipment with domestic transmission

Viktor Karankevich was shown the 90-ton BELAZ-7558W mining dump truck, equipped with a Belarusian-made AC/DC electromechanical transmission, in action. The Deputy Prime Minister was also given a detailed presentation on the performance of the traction drive's key components: an 850 kW alternator and two electric motors of 380 kW each.

The launch of this innovative dump truck with electromechanical transmission of Belarusian manufacture once again highlights BELAZ's firm commitment to strengthening technological independence and developing highly efficient mining equipment based on its own engineering solutions and components.
