BELAZ has become one of the central and most visited industrial venues at the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. This major international event, dedicated to strengthening bilateral cooperation, is being hosted by Minsk and Minsk Region on June 25–26.
Two of ten thematic sections of the forum were held at our enterprise, with more than 150 delegates: representatives of the relevant ministries and institutions, public authorities, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and business communities fr om both countries. Their focus is on economic interaction between regions, the implementation of joint programs and projects, industrial cooperation, and achievement of technological sovereignty.
BELAZ is one of the leading brands of Belarus, a giant plant in Minsk region, and a prime example of successful cooperation with leading Russian industrial companies. The company's innovative developments include import-independent vehicles assembled with Belarusian and Russian components, eco-friendly vehicles powered by natural gas and hydrogen, battery-powered and hybrid dump trucks, as well as innovative digital solutions, including robotic and unmanned vehicles.
"The Forum of Regions is a unique venue wh ere specific cooperation projects arise. The cooperation between the facilities of Belarusian and Russian enterprises, the use of a common component base and advanced digital technologies allow us to create world-class equipment protected from external risks," noted Sergei Lesin, General Director of BELAZ.
It should be noted that the work of the thematic sections at our enterprise has gone far beyond the conference rooms. The guests of BELAZ were highly interested in getting acquainted with the products of the enterprise, appreciated the technological effectiveness and scale of mining equipment production, visiting the exhibition and production sites of the enterprise.
The economic outcome of the business meetings at BELAZ site was the signing of a variety of contracts and agreements on cooperation between government agencies, business, and the scientific communities of the two countries.
The forum will continue until June 26 in Minsk. The final plenary session will be held at BelExpo, National Exhibition Center. Also, during the day, a large-scale exhibition fair of the goods of the Union State leading manufacturers will be held for participants and guests.
