On August 20, BELAZ received a delegation headed by Normat Tursunov, the hokim (governor) of the Navoiy Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Navoiy region is one of the country’s key mining centers, where the BELAZ mining equipment has been traditionally and successfully operated.

The leadership and official delegations of the Navoiy region regularly participate in joint Belarusian‑Uzbek forums and negotiations on the development of industrial cooperation, including maintenance projects and fleet renewal of mining equipment.

One of the main subjects of discussion during the current visit was strengthening the partnership between OJSC “BELAZ” and the leading industrial enterprises of the Navoiy region, where BELAZ dump trucks with the widest range of payload capacities — fr om 30 to 240 tons — operate in the open-pit mines.

Sergei Lesin, General Director of OJSC “BELAZ”, introduced Normat Tursunov to the company’s export and manufacturing capacity, as well as modern manufacturing technologies for mining equipment. The guests visited the assembly line for 130–240-ton dump trucks, wh ere they appreciated the high level of process automation. Flagship machinery models were showcased to the delegation at the exhibition site. Normat Tursunov showed particular interest in the world-famous 450‑ton heavy-duty dump truck, a Guinness World Record holder.

Uzbekistan is the strategically important market for BELAZ in Central Asia. Reliable and cost‑effective equipment manufactured in Belarus daily confirms its status as the best solution for the most ambitious industrial tasks.
