On June 24, just prior to the opening of the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, hosted by Minsk and Minsk Region, was held a ceremony to sign agreements between BELAZ and partners from St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Novotroitsk. The joint projects are aimed at localization of traction electric drives production and implementation of high-strength Ural steel into the production of extra-heavy dump trucks.
From traditional trade relations to broad technological integration and effective cooperation, BELAZ is building a common ecosystem of mining equipment in collaboration with Russian companies.
The implementation of investment projects for the production of technologically independent mining equipment and the strengthening of industrial cooperation were the main topics of the working visit of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich to OJSC "BELAZ", which took place on June 19.
Ten horizontal-milling centers have become a key component of BELAZ's programmable machine shop. The new line for high-precision machining of parts for mining dump trucks with payload capacity ranging from 90 to 360 tons is more than just a technological upgrade, it's a strategic step toward making our equipment even better and more reliable.
Responding to the demands of the Customers, BELAZ is not only preparing to launch the latest underground mining equipment powered by conventional diesel fuel, but is also developing innovative models running on alternative fuels. Design, testing, and improvement of mining equipment is carried out in close collaboration with Russian mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, which has significant experience in underground transport operations.
BELAZ demonstrated its high technological potential in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. On June 6, the first international exhibition Ala-Too Trade & Industry Expo 2026 ended in Bishkek, with the participation of companies from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries.
